Lilah Lindemann started LI HackHers to build a bridge through intermediate coding for middle school girls. Check out LI HackHers in the news.
Lilah is a 12th grade high school student who is passionate about sharing her love of computer science. In addition to her LI HackHers project, she is also a Junior Docent at the Long Island Explorium and has taught workshops there in hydraulics and robotics. She is currently working on the USACO Silver Division and was a scholar/winner in the National Cyber Scholarship Competition in 2022. At school, she is a programmer on her FIRST Robotics team and co-president of the Science Club. Last year, she studied linear algebra and number theory, and is currently studying multivariable calculus. She has led workshops on game theory as a Junior Instructor at SigmaCamp. Over the past two summers, she conducted astrophysics research into the orbital determination of near-Earth asteroids at the Summer Science Program (SSP) and bioinformatics research into the global entropy of cells at Stony Brook CSIRE.
When she’s not programming, Lilah enjoys playing flute in the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra and writing science fiction, for which she has earned recognition in the Scholastic Writing Competition. She also loves playing jazz piano, building Dungeons & Dragons worlds for her younger siblings, and watching Doctor Who.
