In partnership with Girls Inc. of Long Island, LI HackHers launched a free Girls Who Code club and an annual Hackathon for middle school girls and non-binary people.
Girls who gain experience with programming in middle school are more likely to have continued interest in computer science in high school.
Our goal is to provide a bridge through intermediate-level coding opportunities, encouraging girls to gain the skills and confidence needed for computer science in high school, and beyond.
This is Lilah’s project for her Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest honor a Girl Scout can earn. Read more about Lilah or check out LI HackHers in the news!
